Dr. Adel Mohamed Ali El-Asfahani is Professor of Medical Biochemistry, Dept. of Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, Al-Azhar University, Egypt School at Cairo University in Egypt, completed his internship and residency in general medicine with subsequent Diploma in Medical Sciences. He earned his PhD from Tokyo University in Cancer Immunological and Immunochemical studies. Dr. Adel ElAsfahani served as Chairman of Medical Biochemistry Dept., Faculty of Medicine, Al Azhar University. He has published 69 journal articles and wrote two published books. He supervised 44 MD, PhD, M Sc and Fellowship in Pathology in the fields of clinical chemistry, immunology and immunochemistry (cellular and humoral immunity; isolation, purification and characterization of tumor-associated antigens; phenotyping), tumor markers for monitoring cancer therapy, immunotherapy (Biochemical basis) and dental research (Surgery & Histology). In addition, he served as Assoc. Prof. Immunology & Immunochemistry, Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital, King Abdel-Aziz University, Jeddah, KSA and Prof. Medical Biochemistry and Consultant of Clinical Chemistry, King Saud University, Riyadh, KSA. Visiting Scientist, Immunology Dept., Navel American Medical Research UnitNAMRU-3, Egypt. Dr. Adel El-Asfahani is a Member of the American Academy of Allergy & Immunology.
